The Team
We are a teacher led centre.
Despite our superb facilities, we believe that our teachers are our
most important resource. Our policy is to employ registered teachers
whenever possible and all new appointments over the past year have been
registered teachers.
Our professional development programme is designed to support our
programme, although we also send staff to external courses. In late
2009 we had an in-house session on carpentry for children for all of
the staff. We are now upgrading our carpentry resources so that staff
have the knowledge, skills and equipment to support
children’s activities in this area.
Our focus is on staff being engaged with children, talking with them,
responding to their ideas, helping them expand their language and
thinking, making suggestions for activities, and providing some
direction and support to help them persevere and achieve.
